At Harvest Academy, we implement a therapeutic community model, a group-based approach with a rich history of over 60 years, renowned for its effectiveness in addressing long-term anti-social behaviors and drug addiction. Unlike traditional methods reliant on professionals, our model relies on the firsthand experiences and recovery journeys of our students, eliminating the need for doctors, counselors, or therapists. We believe there's no better guide than someone who has conquered similar challenges or is navigating the same struggles.
In our program, participants are referred to as "students," confronting some of society's most daunting challenges. Yet, united as a community, we conquer what many deem insurmountable. Rather than delving into addiction philosophy or dwelling on the past, we focus on action. Our mantra, "ACT AS IF," propels us to embody honesty, reliability, and confidence until these virtues become ingrained habits.
